Experiencing terror of a different sort

This site is meant to document the creative, scientific, and fictive works of Amos J. Spinke. Born in St. Petersburg in 1899 and emigrating to Germany alone at the age of eleven, Spinke lived a life shrouded in mystery. Never famous in his lifetime, and only briefly noticed thereafter by members of the logical positivist movement, Spinke’s writings have been left unpublished in any sort of canonical form – turning up here and again in republished essay collections and literary magazines from the period. The purpose of this volume is to catalogue this widely dispersed material for English-language readers.
